What is Safeco RightTrack?
Safeco Auto Insurance, owned by Liberty Mutual, offers the RightTrack program to customers to encourage them to be safe drivers.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in 2018, 2,800 people died in distracted-driving-related incidents, another 400,000 were injured. UBI programs aim to reduce that risk. You can check out Liberty Mutual RightTrack Review for more information on this specific insurance offer.
A mobile application logs data about your driving habits for 90 days. In New York, drivers use a plug-in device.
If drivers on your policy do not participate, it will lower your potential Safeco RightTrack auto insurance discount.
After 90 days, the discount will be applied permanently to your policy’s basic coverage options for its lifetime.

How does Safeco RightTrack work?
To earn your affordable Safeco RightTrack car insurance rates, sign up for the program online or when you seek out a quote. You’ll then receive an email with instructions.
Download the RightTrack mobile app and forward the activation code to participating drivers on your policy. You’ll also create a Safeco RightTrack login.
Drive for 90 days; follow the safe driving tips in the app to help increase your score. Your discount depends on the score of every driver on the insurance policy.
It lasts for the lifetime of your policy with Safeco. If you add or replace a vehicle, the discount remains.
You also receive an initial discount just for signing up. However, if your deal at the end of the program is less than what you initially received, you’ll be billed for the difference.
The potential bill is because your final discount replaces the initial deal.
What driving habits does Safeco RightTrack track?
Safeco tracks four different driving habits throughout the 90-day RightTrack program. The driving habits include:
- Braking events
- Acceleration
- Night-time driving
- Total miles driven
You might drive more than 125 miles in total to qualify for the program.
Safeco might use your data for research purposes, rate development, and premium adjustments as permitted by state laws.
However, the provider will not sell your data.
Is Safeco RightTrackwork worth it?
If you’re a Safeco customer, using the RightTrack program can lead to a discount of up to 30 percent. However, the program is not available in every state.
You may also receive a bill if your discount total does not match or exceed the initial discount you receive at the time of enrollment.
