What are average Clearcover auto insurance rates?
Since Clearcover doesn’t publish its rates, we don’t have average auto insurance rates for the company. However, one of Clearcover’s primary goals is to offer rates that are as affordable as possible.
So what makes affordable Clearcover auto insurance possible? One of the ways the company does this is by preemptively folding most of the standard discounts into your rates. In addition, as a small company, it may have the freedom to offer lower Clearcover auto insurance quotes.
What do we mean by this? Essentially, as a small company, Clearcover can better tailor rates to individual drivers and be choosier about which drivers it insures. This means companies like Clearcover can avoid insuring high-risk drivers, thereby keeping overall base rates lower.

Does Clearcover auto insurance offer any add-ons?
There are a few extra add-ons you can get through Clearcover auto insurance. Read through the following few sections to learn more.
Roadside Assistance
You can buy roadside assistance as an add-on from Clearcover. It’s up to you whether or not you use the service Clearcover contracts with (Honk) or choose your own roadside assistance service.
With Honk, you’ll get coverage for a maximum of three incidents in a rolling six-month period. You can use the Clearcover app to call for assistance or dial the customer service helpline at 855-444-1875. If you’d prefer to use your own choice for roadside assistance, you’ll get up to $50 in reimbursement from Clearcover.
Alternate Transportation
Clearcover offers an alternate transportation add-on. This is often referred to as rental reimbursement, and it applies if you’re in an accident or your vehicle is damaged in another covered incident, and it’s in the shop for repairs. You can use the alternate transportation add-on to cover the cost of your preferred method of transportation (rental car, rideshare, etc.).
If you opt to purchase this add-on, you’ll receive $30 per day, with a maximum of $900 per incident.
Rideshare Endorsement
Rideshare driving is divided into three categories:
- Period 1 – You’re logged into the rideshare app but haven’t accepted any rides
- Period 2 – You’re logged into the rideshare app, you’ve accepted a ride, and you are driving to pick up the rider.
- Period 3 – You’re logged into the rideshare app, you’ve picked up the rider, and are driving them to their selected destination.
If you’re a rideshare driver, Clearcover offers a rideshare endorsement add-on for Period 1, but you won’t be able to get any add-ons from Clearcover for Periods 2 or 3. This is usually when the rideshare company’s coverage kicks in.
Are there any discounts or other perks available?
To offer the lowest rates possible, Clearcover incorporates most of the major discounts in your rates already. This means you most likely won’t get any additional discounts.
There are a couple of limited exceptions. Members of the military will qualify for a 15% discount. Residents of Louisiana in the military or have children at home who are under the age of 25 will receive a 25% discount.
How do you buy and manage a Clearcover auto insurance policy?
You can buy Clearcover auto insurance through the company website. If you’re not sure how much coverage you need, you can use the company’s “60-Second Coverage Wizard” to decide.
After you’ve settled on the appropriate level of coverage given your situation, driving habits, etc., you’ll have the option to click “Complete my Quote.” The next step is to provide the personal information Clearcover needs to generate your quote. This can include information like your age, what kind of vehicle you drive, and more.
Once you’ve received your quote, you can purchase coverage or take a little time to think about your options.
How do you file a claim with Clearcover?
Clearcover makes it easy to file a claim through the company app. If you need to file a claim, you’ll select the option to do so in the app and answer a couple of questions about the incident. Finally, you’ll take some photos of the accident through the app, which will be tied to your claim.
Clearcover offers the fastest claims process available. The average time from filing to payout is one week, and the quickest payment was actually completed in seven minutes, an industry record.
Clearcover uses a proprietary machine learning model to review your coverage, assess your claim, and determine if your case will receive an accelerated payment or if it requires additional evaluation.
