Mitsubishi Lancer: Ratings & Reviews
The Lancer comes in 4 trim levels: the DE, ES, GTS and Ralliart. The DE and the ES come with a fuel efficient 4 cylinder engine, while the GTS comes with a more powerful 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine. The Ralliart offers a turbocharged version of that engine and all-wheel drive for those who want a sportier ride.
They are all standard with manual transmission except the Ralliart, though they can be outfitted with a CVT transmission at additional cost.
There is a suite of features you can deck your car out with like automatic climate control, GPS navigation system and keyless ignition. Normally these features come standard with luxury cars; Lancer owners can opt to equip their cars with these.

Mitsubishi Lancer: Insurance Costs
Insurance rates will vary across the country, but there are ways that you can lower your monthly premium. The easiest way is simply to do your research before sticking to a car insurance company. Shop around, and get quotes from different insurers so that you can compare rates. Remember that not all car insurers will have the same offers and discounts.
Another thing you might consider doing is reviewing your current insurance policy. Look through it carefully, and decide whether certain levels of coverage in there are still relevant for you.
Have you been accident free for a couple of years? Congratulations, you’re a safer driver than most. You might consider raising the deductible on your collision coverage. You’ll see lower monthly rates, though you’ll be responsible for more up-front costs.
It’s a tradeoff, but if you’re a safe driver, there is a lower likelihood of being involved in an accident.
Mitsubishi Lancer: Safety Ratings
These ratings are important, because the safer your car is perceived to be by the insurance companies, the lower your premiums are likely to be.
Although the 2011 Lancer hasn’t been tested by the federal government, it has been recognized as a Top Safety Pick by the IIHS. The only way a car can receive this status is by scoring the top score of “good” on all of the IIHS’ crash tests. The 2010 Lancer also did very well with federal government tests; the cars are similar.
